A bulk mailing MUST be identical. That means color, weight, and text. Even a poor cut can affect the weight.
We need 10 – 20 piece overrun to cover the full mailing.
FOLD ON BOTTOM AND TAB ON TOP
If the opening is at the bottom it is no longer mailable.
28lb PAPER MINIMUM WEIGHT – USPS REQUIREMENT
20lb paper is too thin, so be careful when purchasing.
ADDRESS & BARCODE SPACE
An easy safeguard is leave the lower right hand corner of your mail piece, approximately 3 3/4″ from the right edge x 2 1/8″ up from the bottom edge, blank to avoid any imprint issues. Send us your design before printing so we can approve for postal qualifications.
Measure your mail piece. Length divided by height must be more than 1.3 or less then 2.5.
POSTCARD/SELF MAILER SIZE
Keep postcard and self-mailer designs at a maximum size of 6 1/8″ high x 11 1/2″ wide to qualify for letter size postage rates instead of the more expensive flat size postage rates.
SELF-MAILER TRI FOLD
The address panel must now be the middle panel and must be minimum 28lb paper.
It’s often advantageous, not a requirement, to have inserts 1/2″ smaller than the horizontal dimensions and 1/2″ smaller than the vertical dimensions of the envelope. This will help assure ease of inserting with the machine and can help avoid additional costs for hand inserting.
Be sure that the envelope flap is a commercial style to meet machine inserting requirements. The envelope flap should be no longer than 1 3/4″ and 1 1/2″ is preferred.
MAILING LIST DATA
Formats: Provide data in Excel, ASCII comma or tab delimited or fixed field format.
Keep first name, last name, address 1, address 2, city , state and zip code in separate fields so the data can be more easily worked with and duplicates found.
